BIO/Nancy Dafoe 

Nancy Avery Dafoe is an award-winning writer and English educator living in Central New York. She writes across genres and is the author of thirteen books. In addition to the books shown on this website, Dafoe has written novels, short stories, essays, and poetry, as well as won awards for her fiction and poetry, including first prize in the William Faulkner-William Wisdom Creative Writing competition for Poetry, and in the New Century Writer Award short story category, as well as first place awards in the Soul Making prose poetry competition, and from the NLAPW, CNY Branch competition, among others.  Her work appears in 34th Parallel magazine, The Ampersand, The Comstock Review, Verbicide, The Healing Muse, and numerous other literary magazines.
