BIO/Nancy Dafoe 

Nancy Avery Dafoe (Nancydafoebooks) is an award-winning writer and English educator living in Central New York. She writes across genres and

is the author of thirteen books. Her work also appears in anthologies in additional to journals and magazines. Dafoe also serves as an editor and has edited several books by other authors. Dafoe has written novels, memoirs, short stories, essays, and poetry. She has won awards for her fiction and poetry, including first prize in the William Faulkner-William Wisdom Creative Writing competition for Poetry, and in the New Century Writer Award short story category, as well as first place awards in the Soul Making prose poetry competition, and from the NLAPW, CNY Branch competitions, among others. She is a member of the National League of American Pen Women.  Her work appears in 34th Parallel magazine, The Ampersand, The Comstock Review, Verbicide, The Healing Muse, and numerous other literary journals.
